Date unveiled for national Hypo Audit

A national audit looking to measure the impact of Hypo Awareness Week will be launched later this month.

Hospital teams can now sign up for the Hypo Audit, which will be open from Monday, September 26 to Sunday, October 2.

The audit aims to highlight whether Hypo Awareness Week (HAW) improves the awareness and management of hypoglycaemia in hospitals across the UK and Ireland.

HAW is a national initiative that aims to improve the awareness, education and management of hypoglycaemia amongst non-diabetes specialists working in hospital.

This year the annual campaign is taking place between Monday, October 3 and Sunday, October 9.

To take part in the Hypo Audit hospital sites must register for HAW. The results from the Hypo Audit will be aggregated nationally.

This audit will open again in December – approximately 10 weeks following the first audit.

To take part in this year’s HAW, email with the following information: lead organiser’s name, name of trust / organisation, number and names of participating sites, telephone number, address for printed pack and whether or not you require t-shirts and the amount needed (up to four allowed).

HAW has been funded by Sanofi who have had no input into any arrangements or content.
