Final registrations are being sought for a national awareness week that rolls out education on hypoglycaemia.
Hospital and primary care sites are being encouraged to sign up to this year’s Hypo Awareness Week (HAW), which is taking place from Monday, October 3 to Sunday, October 9.
A limited number of printed resource packs are still available, with organisers saying they will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
Printed resource packs include:
A printed resource pack also includes a pledge board to share key messages around hypoglycaemia on social media.
Sites can use the boards to spread important safety advice on how to treat hypoglycaemia in hospital.
In 2021, a total of 456 sites took part in the national event.
The highly regarded campaign is organised by Orange Juice Communications, which is now concentrating on delivering a successful HAW this year.
To take part in this year’s HAW, email email@example.com with the following information: lead organiser’s name, name of trust / organisation, number and names of participating sites, telephone number, address for printed pack and whether or not you require t-shirts and the amount needed (up to four allowed).
This project has been funded by Sanofi who have had no input into any arrangements or content.
